Women’s Wellness – The Hormone Cure
Tuesdays, November 7 and 14, 2017
Morning and Evening class options
Morning Option: 10 am – 12 noon – OR –
Evening Option: 6 pm – 8 pm
This class presents concepts from the NY Times best-seller “The Hormone Cure.” We will cover how hormones work, what it feels like when they are in balance and how to detect when they are out of balance. Participants will receive a quiz to understand better their own hormones and how to support personal imbalances. We will create our own dashboards, using gauges of nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle habits to simplify the application of using these tools in one’s own life.
Session 1 – Tuesday, November 7:
- Overview of hormones and how they work in the body
- Factors that impact balance of hormones and symptoms
- Hormone quiz; creating your own dashboard and outcomes
Session 2 – Tuesday, November 14:
- Understanding of key lifestyle factors
- Support for good sleep and managing stress
- An understanding of the Cycles of Nature
Instructor Rebecca Aldag, MBA, MS, CNS, SFG is a certified nutritionist and has a M.S. in Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. She studied directly under Dr. Sara Gottfried and received a certification from Dr. Gottfried as a trained in The Hormone Cure. She has been in private practice since 2005, initially in Washington DC and Maryland, and now maintains an office in Neenah.
This class will meet in Lincoln Hall at the UWO Campus.
Cost for two sessions (4 hours of instruction) is $59.
UWO Alumni, Faculty and Staff receive a $10 discount.
Evening sessions have the option of ordering a box “lunch” for $13/each. The box lunches are a grilled chicken breast served over a garden salad of mixed greens with carrots, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, broccoli, red onions, croutons and balsamic dressing; a cookie, and bottled water. You will have the opportunity to add this option when you register.
